CNBA Business Association Meeting Minutes
November 13, 2013, 8:00 a.m.

Glen Dalakian called meeting to order at 8:14 a.m. and welcomed everyone.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Art Becker.
CNBA officers introduced themselves.
Mike Tormey made motion to approve October minutes. Greg Calderero second. Motion was passed.
Dave Sokoler gave Treasurer’s report – CNBA currently has a balance of $2,890.30 in Money Market (scholarship account), $4,373.14 in PNC Operating Account and $7,795.49 in PayPal Account – Total $15,058.93. A motion was made to approve Treasurer’s Report by Art Becker and second by Dan Fenski. Motion passed.
Glen announced that there was a vote of $1K for a memorial bench at Bucks Mill Park for Sil and a second memorial bench for Sal. Ed Brock found the benches for $200 each (his cost). They are all metal benches with the image of horse on the back. They will have to be installed (bolted down). Al Knipfing will do the install work. Sue is donating the plaques for the benches.
Alesha from Wholetrition is having her Grand Opening on Friday, November 15 from 10 am – 7 pm. Her address is 265 Rt. 34, Colts Neck.
The seasonal mailer will continue but only 3 times a year, not 4. Sue will jazz it up. It was discussed having member restaurants putting a coupon on the back (ex. 20% off). Andrea asked if we should charge to put coupons on the back.
Greg reported that the Town Hall Meeting was successful although turnout was a little less than we thought. He said connecting the community was accomplished. He said we learned a lot and it came off well. It was informative; the format was good and can be improved upon for next year. Glen asked for a show of hands regarding continuing the event. One half of membership voted yes. Glen thanked Greg and his committee.
The Holiday Window Painting is set for December 4. Glen said it is a great event. Colts Neck High School Art Students will be painting the windows in six locations – Perkins, Beckers Hardware, Subway, Capital Paint, United Counties Insurance and Robert DeFalco Realtors. CNBA will sponsor the painting supplies. The judges will be Carolyn Burtnick, Jerry Amos and Dan Fenski.
The 2014 CNBA Luncheon will be held on March 4th at Trump. Jason Buccino will head the committee. Brian Kuderna, Sue Fitzpatrick, Kevin Fenstermacher and Dee Zander volunteered to be on the committee. Assistance will be needed to secure ticket sales and baskets. There will be no speaker. It will be a networking event.
The slate for November elections was given to the membership. The slate included:
Anna Appollonia, President; Carolyn Burtnick and Greg Calderaro, Vice-Presidents; Patty Volherbst and Allison Antonucci, Secretaries, David Sokolar, Treasurer, Glen Dalakian, Advisor. Rich Yaeger made a motion to pass. It was second by Art Becker. Motion was passed. The installation will be in December.
Tom Corley discussed the Value Added program. $500 and services from 9 members is awarded every quarter to the winning member.
Mike Tormey said that there are currently 13 paid members for 2014. He told the members to pay from now to January to get into the Mailer and Map. It goes to every home and business in Colts Neck.
The speaker was Patty Volherbst who spoke on the new CNBA website.
All in attendance introduced themselves.
