CNBA Generala Meeting Minutes

Anna Appolonia called the meeting to order at 8:11 a.m. and welcomed everyone
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Art Becker
CNBA officers introduced themselves (in attendance Anna Appolonia, Carolyn Burtnick, Greg Calderero, Patti Vollherbst, David Sokoler, Alison Antenucci)
Mike Tormey made motion to approve April 2014 minutes. Dan seconded. Motion was passed.
David Sokoler gave Treasurer’s report – CNBA currently has $ 9,312.82 in PNC checking account, $ 8,612.50 in Pay Pal account, and $ 2,890.44 in Money Market account. Total $20,815.76
Motion to approve by Art Becker, second by Jamie Stimpson. Motion passed.
$1000 was donated to OPC from proceeds of the luncheon. Glen announced the concert on Aug. 23, at Brookdale, featuring Jacki Lee with many other performers. Tickets will be going on sale soon, CNBA is the lead sponsor and there will be vendor tables available if members are interested.
The two new businesses in town are Nails Plus and 1800 Flowers, both located next to Perkins.
Anna thanked J Vincent Jewelers for hosting the recent card exchange.
She also mentioned that the kiosk is in Dunkin Donuts but anyone interested in having it in their business should let us know.
David explained Added Value, which consists of about 10 services and a $500 check from CNBA to use for ones business. Drawings take place quarterly.
Anna mentioned some of the upcoming events, including the Business Roundtable on June 23 at 7PM in Colts Neck. She said this is member’s opportunity to bring issues to the township and talk about what they want.
The Racetrack event planned for August will be in conjunction with EIPA and EMCC
George Sherwood gave an update on the Bicycle Tour. He explained the sponsor opportunities at the 5 water stations, ranging in cost from $250 - $350. He also enumerated the different routes. They are now set up to accept online registration at coltsnecklionsclub.org.
Economic Development – Lisa Aldridge reported that Amy Fitzgerald, Director of Dept. of Economic & Workforce Development will be attending some of their upcoming meetings.
The CNBA brochure is being updated and will be ready for distribution in June.
Education – David announced that we have a speaker for the next meeting but invited anyone interested in speaking on a topic for about 5-10 minutes to contact him.
Membership – Mike Tormey reported that membership is now 189 with less than 40 dropping from last year. The Pig Roast will be held on either Sep. 9 or Sep. 15 with more info to follow.

Carolyn introduced Dr. Theocarides from Beginning Aesthetics and Laser, who spoke on Wellness.
