CNBA General Meeting Minutes

March 8, 2017

Colts Neck Library

In attendance: Sue Fitzpatrick, Greg Calderaro, Patty Vollherbst,  Dino Nicoletta, Glen Dalakian, 

Bob Gasaway, Alison Antenucci

Sue Fitzpatrick called the meeting to order at 8:10, welcomed the members and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Bob Gasaway made motion to approve the minutes from the February meeting.  Michael Viola second. Motion approved.

Dino Nicoletta gave the Treasurer’s report. CNBA has $12,216.62 in Investors Bank, $728.98 in PNC checking, $2891.26 in PNC Money Market and $6,608.98 in Pay Pal account. Total $22,445.84.  Art Raskin made motion to approve Treasurer’s report. Michael Viola second. Motion approved.

Glen Dalakian explained the “free mug” program which will launch this month.  We are awaiting delivery of the mugs and then they will be distributed to the participating merchants.  Customers who present the coupon, which was included in the latest flyer, will receive a free mug with the CNBA logo on it.  We are encouraging merchants to possibly include a coupon of their own along with the mug.

Alison gave an update on the luncheon.  She announced that Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno will be our guest speaker this year.  She also said we have sold over 200 tickets,

have several vendor tables taken and have many items for the swag bag.  She also mentioned that we will have a 50/50 raffle as well as baskets and silent auction items.

Greg mentioned the Roundtable discussion which took place in January and explained that it was held in order to foster a better relationship with the local businesses and the CNBA.  We will hold another one on April 24th and are beginning to hand out the invitations to select business owners.

Dino will be attending the next township meeting which was postponed from tonight until March 15.

Our next card exchange will be held at Sun Bank on May 8th at 6pm.

The Fireworks will be held on July 3rd and  work will begin on it right after the luncheon is over.

The summer card exchange will take place at  Trump National on August 16th.

Our next meeting will be held at  town hall as the library carpeting will be installed.

The board introduced themselves followed by members introductions.

Sue announced that we will be joining with the Matawan Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce for an Business Exo to be held on March 28th at the reception center at St. Gabriels Church.

Dan Simon gave details about the upcoming fundraiser which will take place at CNHS on Friday April 28th. Proceeds will be used to modernize the sound and lighting systems in the auditorium.

Oz Pearlman will be providing the entertainment for the evening.  Dan also announced his retirement from CNHS this June.

Patty introduced Brian Bott from Aspire Fitness.
