For the past two years, Oliver has owned and operated CertaPro Painters of Freehold / Hightstown, servicing communities in Mercer County, Burlington County, and Western Monmouth County (including Colts Neck, Freehold, Manalapan and Marlboro). They do residential and commercial painting (interior, exterior). Prior to becoming a business owner, Oliver was a financial markets trader. Over the course of his financial career, he worked on Wall Street, as well as in several European financial centers, including Paris, Frankfurt and London. Born in Germany, he came to the United States in 1991 and moved to Colts Neck in 2005 - with his wife Gina and children Henry and Louisa. After having to commute the last five years of my financial career to London, England, he decided to leave the financial markets to become a local business owner.
After so many years of travel across the Atlantic and all over Europe, Oliver enjoys being home with his family, and serving the local community. Outside of his business, he enjoys meaningful volunteer work: he has been a boat crew member in the USCG Auxiliary since 2010, and is very much looking forward to serving on the board of CNBA - working with a great organization in his hometown and a great group of people.
My name is Nick Deckmejian and I am ecstatic to be given the opportunity to join the Colts Neck Business Association's Executive Board. It is an honor to be considered for this role and I'm eager for playing an even bigger role in serving my community. My Grandparents moved to Colts Neck in the 60's and both were heavily involved with the township -- my grandfather having been captain of the First Aid Squad and my grandmother dedicating much of her time to the library and senior citizens club. I have lived in town since 2001 and began working for The Journal Publications in 2014, continuing my family tradition of community involvement by reporting on township news/events. In 2015, I started working as a marketing consultant for the magazine, finding businesses to advertise with us and developing campaigns to help make local businesses all the more successful. I believe my unique perspective of Colts Neck and relationships with community leaders and businesses will serve as a great asset to the Executive Board and I look forward to proving my worth.
